Goura-Vrindávana is situated on a gorgeous place surrounded by wonderful Nature.  The farm is neighbor of National Park of Serra da Bocaina, which preserves 110.000 hectares of original Mata Atlântica (rain forest). We know well the treasure that it represents, and how it must be protected with all efforts.  The members of Goura-Vrindávana are aware of the responsibility that means to live in this area around the park.   The director of the park, Dr. Mario Rondon, stated that the presence of people aware of this responsibility living close to the park is very important to hold back the predatory action of people with out this mentality.  We hold, therefore, as he said himself, the position of "park guardians".

     We want to prove that the presence of the man kind close to the Nature can lead to a positive impact, and not the opposite, as we can see in the last couple centuries, as result of this poor mentality greed and exploitation that are installed on modern man’s consciousness.

     We want to pass on to the future generations, this little piece of Brasil, in a much better condition than when, by Providence’s arrangement, it fell off in our hands.

Some ideas and projects in this this field:

·       To help government departments related to environment, in the hard mission of preserving and recovering.

·       To help the initiatives on the academic area, supporting researches and supplying areas for scientific projects.

·        Promote local education and information of environmental preservation.

·       Plant and spread out samples of native species, there are threatened by extinction.

     To put it in a simple way, the goal of our community related to the environment is:

Establish an ecologic sanctuary in the property area.
